Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of carveresq.com (the “Site”), operated by Carver Esq., the solo law practice of Eric Adar Carver. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
No attorney–client relationship
Use of this Site, including submission of the intake form, does not create an attorney–client relationship. That relationship is formed only when Carver Esq. and a client sign a written engagement letter. Until then, no information you provide is treated as instructions to act, and no deadline is being tracked on your behalf.
Not legal advice
Content on this Site — including the Startup Readiness Checklist — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not legal advice, is not tailored to your specific circumstances, and should not be relied on as a substitute for consulting an attorney about your situation.
Jurisdiction
Eric Adar Carver is admitted to practice law in California only. Nothing on this Site is an offer to represent you in, or is intended to constitute the practice of law in, any jurisdiction where the firm is not authorized to practice.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the Site to submit false or fraudulent information.
- Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Site or any system connected to it.
- Do not use automated means to access or scrape the Site without written permission.
Intellectual property
The Site’s design, text, graphics, and the Carver Esq. mark are owned by Carver Esq. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use.
Third-party links and services
The Site may link to, or embed, third-party services (for example, a scheduling tool or a payment processor). Carver Esq. does not control those services and is not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SITE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CARVER ESQ. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SITE.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms (as distinct from a dispute arising from an actual engagement, which is governed by your engagement letter) will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Site after a change is posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
